Seasons 1-8 see shippers making bids for two of the shipments on the uShip website. It is an auction reverse type of format. Bids contain comments about the likely risks and costs and the reasons and skills. If the time limit has expired for an auction it will be assigned to the lowest bidding bidder. The client's discretion however, it might be awarded to the bidder who has a higher average feedback rating over previous customers. For the lowest bid all ties are dissolved by the feedback rating. In season 9, the shippers receive their loads from an intermediary in shipping, and the bidding process isn't shown.Winners load their cargo and attempt to get it delivered in a timely manner within the receiver's or client's deadline. When the cargo is delivered, the clients leave feedback ratings. The episode ends with the revenue of each shipper and expenses. To determine the profit or loss the amount of bids is subtracted. Sometimes, shippers will agree to haul multiple loads at the same time, with the extra money figured into their tally. Sometimes it is possible that the shipper is in a position to not complete the task due to concerns regarding the weight of the load or the road safety. Sometimes, one shipper will contract the help of a different shipper in order to complete a job. The shippers will then decide what they'll do with profits. Seasons 1-8 are full of humorous criticisms from the other shippers.
