Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Amy Smart was born and was raised in California, United States of America. Amy Smart began modelling in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as an actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her struggle to land an appearance on Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was a gruelling battle. It was a hard time when she had to change from modelling to acting as the models were never thought of as actors, and they were usually assigned smaller roles that were insignificant. Amy persevered, and she eventually landed larger roles in films Varsity Blues and The 70s. After a few years, Amy took the leap to more prominent roles. Amy was in the romantic comedy Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major film at the box office and Amy had finally found the recognition that she was seeking for more than 10 years. There were several major films in the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role on the Shameless series.
