Dolly-Parton

born on January. 19th of 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a struggling family that would one day consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to overcome the difficulties of her life thanks to her expansive and imaginative imagination. Before she was able to read and write she was writing her own songs. She got her first guitar when she was 8 and began her singing career on a Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. She released her debut album during the same year Gold Band Records, a small, independent label. She established herself on the local circuit while in high school but she dreamed of a bigger stage. She moved to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first track to hit the charts for Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for female performers to be a part of his syndicated show until this point. Parton took the job in 1966. She was then signed to RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. But she resigned from the show after 1974 because her solo releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene began charting the collaborations they had with each other. Parton recorded I Will Always love You in honor of Wagoner in the aftermath of their breakup. It reached no. #1 for the first time in 1974.
